Mainly, I am excited because I am going to use this break as an opportunity to really recharge my batteries. Give myself a tune-up, if you wish, so that I can go back to work, feeling even more ready to give and serve my students.
How is it that I plan on recharging those lovely batteries of mine? A staycation is where it is AT these days. Basically, I want to treat myself to all the yoga, good books, friends, family and deliciously healthy food that I can. And all of that delicious food will be prepared by yours truly-- totally gluten-free! I have been interested in doing a gluten-free cleanse for sometime now and am very much excited about experiencing what I would feel like sans gluten. No commitments just yet. I just want to see what it feels like and what I feel like when I am without gluten.
Today I prepared a delicious Butternut Squash Soup, Chickpea Flour Flat Bread and a delicious salad of chick peas, parsley and spinach topped with a lemon and olive oil dressing. The recipes for all of these can be found at meghantelpner.com. Try out one of her many cleanses (these recipes came from the Gluten Free Cleanse). I am sure you will LUV it.
So far the first day of my Gluten Free cleanse is going FANTASTIC. It truly is remarkable how good you feel once you have had a good night's sleep and have prepared yourself a great nutritious meal. Isn't that what a March Break is all about? Now I am off to an energizing Ashtanga Class. Yay for First Days of March Break!
